👗 Style Features:
A strongly flared dress with a flounce. The sleeves are set-in and long. The bust darts come from the armhole. The neckline is finished with a facing. No closure. Unlined.
The dress in the photo is made of solid viscose jersey.
Model’s measurements: Height - 173cm (5’8.1’’), Bust - 82cm (32.3’’), Waist - 63cm (24.8’’), Hips - 89cm (35’’).
Dress size in the photo - 8 UK.
✂️ Recommended Fabrics:
Any dress fabric with elastane, or jersey.
🧵 You'll Need:
• Main Fabric 150cm (59'') width: 2m - 2.3m (2.2yd - 2.5yd)
• Interfacing 150cm (59'') width: 0.2m - 0.3m (0.2yd - 0.3yd)
• Stitched bias-cut fusible stay tape 1cm (0.4”) wide: 0.5m (0.6yd) for sizes 8-16 UK, 0.6m (0.7yd) for sizes 18-26 UK
• Matching thread: 1 pc
• To assemble the dress, you will need a straight-stitch sewing machine with zigzag stitches for overcasting the edges and an iron with a steam function.
EQUIPMENT:
In order to sew your own garment, you will need:
1. A sewing machine equipped with a zigzag stitch function (for finishing seam allowances and hemming the bottom of garments made from knitted fabrics) and a buttonhole function (for garments with buttons).
2. A 4-thread overlock machine for stitching garments made from knitted fabrics.
3. A zipper foot for sewing in hidden zippers (for garments with concealed zippers).
4. A sewing machine binding curve edge folder, which is a foot used for finishing fabric edges with piping.
5. A steam iron.
