👗 Style Features:
Semi-fitted silhouette with an empire waistline. The skirt is cut on the bias with pleats at the bottom of the bodice. Side closure with a hidden zipper. Unlined.
The dress shown in the photo is made of viscose silk with elastane.
Model's measurements: Height 172cm (5'7.7"), Bust 83cm (32.7"), Waist 65cm (25.6"), Hips 90cm (35.4"). Dress size in photo - UK 8.
✂️ Recommended Fabrics:
Any dressy blouse satin, satin, silk, or other suitable fabric for bias cutting.
🧵 You'll Need:
• Main fabric 150cm (59") width: 1.7m-2.4m (1.9yd-2.6yd)
• Stitched bias-cut fusible stay tape 0.5cm (0.2") width: 0.7m-1.5m (0.8yd-1.6yd)
• Hidden zipper 35cm (13.8"): 1 pc
• Matching thread: 1 pc
• You'll need a straight-stitch sewing machine with zigzag stitches for overcasting the edges, a foot for sewing in a hidden zipper, a one-sided folding binder, and an iron with a steam function
EQUIPMENT:
In order to sew your own garment, you will need:
1. A sewing machine equipped with a zigzag stitch function (for finishing seam allowances and hemming the bottom of garments made from knitted fabrics) and a buttonhole function (for garments with buttons).
2. A 4-thread overlock machine for stitching garments made from knitted fabrics.
3. A zipper foot for sewing in hidden zippers (for garments with concealed zippers).
4. A sewing machine binding curve edge folder, which is a foot used for finishing fabric edges with piping.
5. A steam iron.
