👗 Style Features:
Pintuck fitted dress with cut on the bias. Bust darts from the side seam. The neckline and armholes are finished with bias tape made from the main fabric. No pockets, no closures.
The dress in the photo is made of lightweight mixed linen in a stripe pattern.
Model's measurements: Height - 174cm (5’8.5’’), Bust - 90cm (35.4”), Waist - 64cm (25.2”), Hips - 94cm (37”).
Dress size - 12 UK.
✂️ Recommended Fabrics:
Any dress fabric, except highly stretchy jersey, suitable for cutting on the bias.
🧵 You'll Need:
• Main Fabric 150cm (59'') width: 2.2m - 2.8m (2.4yd - 3.1yd)
• To assemble the dress, you will need a sewing machine, one-sided folding binder foot, and an iron with a steam function.
EQUIPMENT:
In order to sew your own garment, you will need:
1. A sewing machine equipped with a zigzag stitch function (for finishing seam allowances and hemming the bottom of garments made from knitted fabrics) and a buttonhole function (for garments with buttons).
2. A 4-thread overlock machine for stitching garments made from knitted fabrics.
3. A zipper foot for sewing in hidden zippers (for garments with concealed zippers).
4. A sewing machine binding curve edge folder, which is a foot used for finishing fabric edges with piping.
5. A steam iron.
